Grimjaw the Unbound The Army’s Betrayer In the war-torn valleys of Amia, desperate human armies sought an edge against the rising dead and ancient horrors. They created Grimjaw a colossal mutant born of forbidden alchemy, stitched together from dragon remains, battlefield corpses, and dark magic. Raised as both weapon and pet, fed on the blood and loyalty of its masters, Grimjaw was meant to be the ultimate siege beast. But power has its own hunger. The Bite That Broke the Leash The battlefield was still smoking when Grimjaw turned. For months the creature had obeyed. It had crushed enemy lines, torn down walls, and feasted on the corpses its human handlers left behind. Every night they fed it choice cuts of meat and praised it like a favored hound. Every morning it was sent out to kill in their name. Today was different. A knight one of the officers who had personally fed Grimjaw for years stepped forward with a fresh haunch of meat, smiling beneath his helm. “Good boy,” the man said. “Time to earn your keep again.” Grimjaw’s massive head swung around. Its glowing eyes narrowed. The spines along its back rattled like swords being drawn. Then, with terrifying speed for something so enormous, the creature lunged. Its jaws snapped shut around the knight’s arm and shoulder. Armor crumpled like paper. The man’s scream was cut short as Grimjaw lifted him off the ground and shook him violently, blood spraying across the grass. The army behind it froze in shock. The beast dropped the mangled body and let out a thunderous, wet roar that shook the mountains. It was no longer their pet. It was free. Grimjaw turned its massive body toward the very army that had created it. Shields and broken swords still embedded in its hide from countless battles clattered as it moved.
