A baby giant bird of this size. The Andean condor lives in the Andes Mountains of the South American continent. When fully grown, its body length reaches 1–1.3 m, and with its wings spread it spans as much as 3 m—said to be the largest flying bird in the world. It also lives a long life; there are cases of individuals reaching 75 years in captivity (there are individuals nearly 70 years old in Japan as well).
